Mary Kay

I'll post about Christmas when I have time to upload the photos from my camera, but right now I just wanted to post a little about my Mary Kay business. It has been such an incredible blessing in my life. It has given me so much confidence, and has made me much happier. Every thursday night we have training at my sales director's house and it is a blast. I look forward to going and hanging out with incredible women and playing with makeup. Everyone has such a positive outlook and its super contagious. I've even made a new girlfriend! We can't stop laughing and chattering away everytime we get together. Last week we did holiday makeovers and got to try RED LIPSTICK!!

So cool. I've always wanted to try it but been too chicken. I brought my good friend Natalee with me and that was so awesome! She says she wants to sell, but isn't sure if she'll sign up or not. I hope she does, because that would be the only thing that could make this experience better for me! I love it so much and it brings me so much joy, not to mention a little extra cash! :) Anyway... I just got back from training and wanted to share my excitement with everyone.

Hoping you had a fabulous Christmas and wishing you a very happy new year,

Kim

December fun

Hey, hey! Just an update about what's been happening in the busy month of December...

I finally got to go to Disneyland! Nick's pass is expired, so I went with Sierra and we had a blast!
We took tons of crazy pictures, watched the fireworks, and danced in the "snow" on Main Street.

I love the Christmas fireworks. They are so amazing. And just as I predicted, I cried at the beginning when they played the believe in holiday magic song, and then again when it started to snow on Main Street. I'm such a sap... but I guess the snow just makes me think of when I was the happiest I've ever been (until Nick, of course) when I was up at BYU with my best friends and all the good times we had, and how much I miss all of them. Oh man... I'm starting to cry right now just thinking about it...

Our ward Christmas party was last weekend. It was neat because Nick and I are on the activities committee, so we got to see all our hard work come together. We had a program with a bunch of musical numbers, and I sang! It was pretty nerve wracking, but it went really well. That same night we had Nick's company Christmas party. We got all dressed up and got to go to a nice hotel for dinner, dancing, and a drawing for cool prizes. We won a navigation system that we found out is worth $300! How cool is that? Want to know something else that's pretty cool? I gave Nick pointers on how to dance and he didn't look like a goober on the dancefloor anymore! Yay!

This past weekend we went to my parents house and decorated cookies and made a gingerbread house. The Stewart family was also there with us, and Emily Stewart and I created a masterpiece while everyone else made fun of us for getting so into it. They weren't laughing when we were done and they marveled at our awesomeness!!! It was a lot of fun.

That's our Decemeber so far. We're really enjoying our first Christmas together as a married couple. We've almost got all our shopping done, and now all that's left is wrapping all the gifts... yuck. The worst part of Christmas. It sucks to wrap everything, but it sure is fun to unwrap them!! Merry Christmas everyone! We love you.

It's beginning to smell alot like Christmas...

The Christmas season has begun. At the flower shop we're getting more and more orders for Christmas arrangements and working with Christmas greens is a pain in the butt. My hands smell like Christmas all the time and they're sticky with sap and the end of the day. But even though it's such a pain, Christmas arrangements are officially my favorite to make! They are so much fun and super cute when they're done.

I love this time of year. Its hard because we don't have much money, but our first Christmas together will be a special one no matter what gifts are under the tree. This Christmas is also special because I started selling Mary Kay, so I get to help people create fun holiday looks for their Christmas parties and I totally love being a consultant. If I could spend everyday helping people look and feel beautiful, that would be the perfect job for me, and with Mary Kay I get a little of that. I should be putting in my very first order ever next week, so yay!

I love Christmas!!
