Claire's Blessing 1-5-14

What a special day.  I think that's just about the only thing I can say to describe Claire's blessing.  Special and beautiful, just like our sweet girl.
We had family travel from Utah and Arizona to be there for Claire's big day and couldn't be more thankful for their love and support.  Nick gave the sweetest blessing for our princess.  My favorite part was when he blessed her that she would have a good sense of humor.  With how dark and evil this world can be, I feel like a good sense of humor can help our little miss bring light into her life and those around her.

Happy New Year!

This year for New Year's Eve, We had a fun night at Tommy and Amy Smith's house with a few other couples.  We ate yummy food, played games, and laughed all night long.  Thankfully Claire slept through the entire thing, and then ALL NIGHT LONG!!  Woo Woo!  Happy New Years!!

Little Miss Claire: Two Months!

I am a terrible, terrible blogger.  Claire is almost a year old, and I am just now sitting down to write all these posts.  I WISH I would have been better about writing them, but thankfully I take a million pictures of our sweet girl to help me remember all the good, and bad, things about each month.  *Fingers Crossed* I will have this little blog updated before the little miss is one!

At two months, Claire:

• Still wearing newborn clothes and diapers, though its almost time to bump up to the next size on both :(  The waist on her pants still fit well, but they are ALL too short.
• Still LOVES to snuggle, and most of the time, that's the only way she'll sleep!
• Has started to smile, and smiles ALL THE TIME!
• Is very vocal.  She coos and makes all sorts of cute little baby noises.
• Has incredibly ticklish feet
• Is really good at holding up her head, and she can "sit up" when you support her body
• Had her picture taken with Santa and some people at the mall came up to us to see her up close because they had thought she was a doll.
• Went to Daddy's company Christmas party
• Was left with a "baby-sitter" aka Gigi and Popsicle for the first time while Mommy and Daddy went to Mommy's work Christmas party.  Mommy was SO anxious the whole time and had to have Gigi send pictures.
• Has to have gas drops and/or gripe water every night to help with her gassiness, and spends a better part of the evening fussy and crying.
• Like mirrors.  She smiles and coos at her reflection.
• LOVES the turtle toy Aunt Claudia sent her for Christmas.  The feet are rattles and crinkly stuff and the belly is a mirror.  She will sit and stare at it for long periods of time.
• Is still mesmerized by our ceiling fan.
• Like Brown Bear Brown Bear Book
• Was sleeping in 6-7 hour stretches at night, and then all of a sudden flipped back to 3 hour stretches.  Mommy is having a rough time and has fallen asleep nursing several times
• Already adores Daddy and will "talk" to him for 5-10 minutes straight when he gets home from work!  It is just about the cutest thing, and it totally melts my heart to see them like that!
