Weight Watchers

I joined weight watchers! Yay! I've been doing REALLY well. I'm staying under my point allotment everyday, and haven't even used up any of my extra points for this week! This is only my first week, so we'll have to see how long I keep this up. I'm super committed this time though. One of my very best friends, Megan, will be getting engaged soon, and told me she wants me to be one of her bridesmaids! She wants yellow for her bridesmaid dresses, which isn't a very good color for me, so I figure at least if I look washed out, I should be skinny!! I'm ridiculously excited to be her bridesmaid and have a goal in mind that keeps me on track to loose weight.
I also want to be in shape to do the Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure in October. Anyone with me?

Santa Rosa Plateau

Sierra, Megan, and I went to the Santa Rosa Plateau to take some pictures, and these are a few of my favorites from the day.

I'm glad that all of my friends are so gorgeous. They all make such fabulous models to for my new found hobby.

First Photo Shoot

My Friend Melissa and I went down to the beach to break in my new camera. I don't claim to be a photographer, I just have fun with my camera. I used to love having my picture taken, but since I've gained so much weight, I feel super self-conscious and am more confident behing the lens than in front of it. These are some of my favorite shots of the day.

I'm in love with this shot. It is my favorite of the day. Melissa is so beautiful, isn't she?
And then we stopped my the temple. Such a beautiful place.

If anyone wants to be a model for me, just let me know. I would love to take pictures of anyone who will let me. :) My next models are my sister, Sierra, and my good friend, Megan.

Bundle of Joy.

I've been expecting for about a week now... No, I'm not pregnant, but I am the proud parent (okay, owner if you want to be technical, but I feel like its my baby) of a beautiful new Nikon D60 digital SLR camera

It is just as incredible as I thought it would be. I'm totally head over heels in love. I have so much to learn about its features, and I can't wait! Yay!!

PS: Thank you for your prayers. They really worked. A couple of hours after I posted that blog, I received a phone call from the HR lady I interviewed with. She wanted to give me a heads up that the manager of the Murrieta branch would probably be giving me a call in the next couple of days to set up an interview. Then today while I was at work, the manager called me! I couldn't call her back until after they were already closed, but I left a message on her voicemail, and I'm going to try her back again tomorrow on my lunch break. Thank you so much. Your continued thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.

Little Prayers...

I have a favor to ask of all of you...

I had a job interview today with San Diego County Credit Union. They contacted me this past weekend to set up an interview. I thought it was a little weird because it had been a while since I even put in an application. Their contact could not have come at a better time. On Tuesday, Nick was informed that his hours would be cut down by an enitre day. An entire day's worth of work gone. What makes it worse is my hours have slowly but surely gone down , and I'm barely working 30 hours a week.

I'm getting nervous that we won't have enough to pay all of our bills. I know that this interview is the Lord's way of telling me that everything will work out and He won't let us fail. As I sat down for the interview, the HR lady pulled out my application, and the date on it said 2006. 2006... They've had that application for three years, and this is the first time they've contacted me. It's amazing the way the Lord works and how he supplies your need.

Which brings me to my favor... I ask that anyone reading this could please keep me in your prayers. I know that whatever is supposed to happen will happen. I've been to the interview and gave it the best I had, and that all I can do. The rest is in the Lord's hands, and there is no better place it could be. I just need your prayers to help me accept the outcome of this, and remember that no matter what happens, everything will be okay.

Grandma

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to visit my Grandmother's grave. She passed away September 30, 2003, and I haven't had the chance to go back since her funeral. I miss her so much, but I know she would be proud of how I've turned out so far, and I know she watches over me everyday. I can't wait to see her again.
