Hello Everybody! I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was amazing. I got so much more than I deserved, and I was able to spend time with my inlaws and my own family. We also got to talk to Zack for an hour and a half, and it was so great just to hear his voice.
I actually wanted to leave you guys a note to let you know that I'm going to be taking a short break from posting on here. I've been really struggling lately, I don't want this blog to get to depressing, and I've been struggling to find the desire to post. I know that things will all work out, but for now I have some personal issues I'm working through. Don't worry though, I'll be back to posting soon enough, but for the first month or two of the the year you probably won't hear that much from me. Thank you for all your love and support.

Mistakes
Do you ever make a mistake and think, "Great. I really screwed that one up!" only to have things turn out better than they would have been if you had made the "right choice?" I make mistakes all the time, especially in my photography. Every time I'm editing a photo shoot, I think to myself, "Self, why did you set the shutter speed so darn slow? That photo would have been amazing, but it's blurry." or "What in tarnation were you thinking? You are stopped down way too far and that photo is completely blown out and unusable!" (That last one happened a lot. In fact, I cried when I was editing a photo shoot just now because so many of the photos were so overexposed that they were ruined. Seriously. Tears.
Until I saw this photo.
Mistakes don't always turn out to be mistakes. This photo literally took my breath away. The way the sun lights up her face and makes a halo around her hair. The way her eyes pierce through the light. The soft smile. To me, this photo represents innocence. Filled with light and life, it draws me in and makes me want to know more about this beautiful little girl. This photo is all wrong - totally overexposed and blown out, but everything that makes it wrong is also what makes it beautiful.
Message From Santa!
Okay, all you friendlies with kiddos, you should check out this site! It's called Portabel North Pole, and you can make your munchkin a message from Santa, and the videos are freaking adorable. One of the girls I work with made one for her little brother and it was so cute. You tell it things like their age, what the want for Christmas, whether they have been naughty or nice, and you can upload their picture too. I wish I had kiddos that I could do it for.
So check it out, get a message from the Big Man in Red, and watch your children's eyes light up with wonder! Just click on this link to take you to the website.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Do you watch Glee? I hope you do. It's one of my favorite shows. I love listening to how they interpret so many different genres of music. Anywho... This past week, they did "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," and it was incredible. Just wanted to share.
