Friday?

I was at my house (I love saying that, by the way.  It has such a beautiful ring to it) last week on Wednesday for the home inspection.  (I was told I have amazing insulation.  It's okay to be jealous.)  I freaked out a little when I saw this sign in the front yard:

I love that sign.  It is so beautiful.  It will be even more beautiful when it has a big "SOLD" sign across it.

By the way, we might be getting our keys on Friday.  Just so you can be excited with me.

Ours

Nick and I have had a pretty boring couple of days... NOT!!!  WE FINALLY GOT THE BANK APPROVAL ON OUR HOUSE!!!
For those of you who may not know, about three months ago (three months and two days... but who's counting?) Nick and I put in an offer on a house.  It was a short sale, so we knew it would be a bit of a wait, but we absolutely fell in love with the house, so we were willing to wait it out.  And now it's ours... well, it will be ours on or before September 11 when we are supposed to close escrow.
I'm too excited to wait, so here it is!
This is my house (I love saying that, by the way!):
This is my front door:
This is my fireplace:
This is my living room:
These are my windows with plantation shutters (it's okay to be jealous):
This is what you see when you look out my windows (we set up the auto timer on the sprinklers so hopefully the grass will come back to life):
This is my stamped concrete with pretty curves:
 This is my laundry room:
 This is my bathroom downstairs:
This is my Harry Potter closet under the stairs:
 This is my pantry:
 These are my cabinets:
This is my kitchen (Swoon.):
This is my floor downstairs (the pretty little tiles glitter in the sunlight and are only in the entry way):
This is my green room (will most likely turn into a nursery, hopefully sooner rather than later):
This is my blue room (craft room? guest bedroom?):
This is my loft with a crazy red wall:
This is the closet in my bedroom (squeal of delight for somewhere to put my clothes!):
This is my bathroom (A TUB!!  I have a tub!):

And that's all she wrote!  Or at least all the pictures I took.  We are so excited, overjoyed, ecstatic, deliriously happy, thrilled, and any other really really really happy words you can think of.  It's been a LONG, HARD, LONG road to get here, and we feel overwhelmed with how much the Lord has blessed us.  Sometimes it felt like we were never going to reach our goal and get out of the situation we were in, but we kept pushing forward and trusting that the Lord had a plan for us.  Elder Neal A. Maxwell said "Faith in the Lord includes faith in His timing."  I truly have a testimony of that.  It was all that kept me moving forward at times when I felt like giving up.  Trusting in His timing is often one of the most difficult things we can do, but I know that if we put our trust in the Lord, he will lead us to something far better than we had planned for ourselves.
Thank you everyone for your kindness and support.  It means the world to us.
As I called and texted people to let them know we got the bank's approval, there were a lot of different reactions.  I will leave you with my favorite:

Kim: "Hi Dad!  We got the house!  The bank approval came in this morning!"
Dad: "That's great!  Just let me know when you're moving.  I'm going to be out of town, but I'll let you have the keys to the truck."

Gotta love my Dad.
