Cancun Adventures Part 2!

Part two of our adventures has finally arrived!  Sorry about the delay, it's been crazy busy around these parts.  Better late than never, right?

Our Cancun adventure continued with Scuba Diving!  We got up early on Monday morning and went over to Aqua World for our our Discover Scuba class, which gave us a "resort certification" allowing us to dive with an instructor.  It was pretty awesome, though I really wish we had gone diving in Cozumel instead of to the MUSA.  The MUSA was supposed to be this really amazing collection of underwater exhibits along the coast of the Yucatan.  I thought we were going to see a whole lot more.  We were all a bit disappointed with what we saw, but the scuba diving its self was an enjoyable experience.

If we had seen more things like this it would have been an amazing adventure, but we spent most of the time traveling from where the boat dropped us off to this exhibit, and Zack sucked up so much air, that we had to surface.  Unfortunately my mom couldn't get her ears to regulate, so she wasn't able to go with us, and Sierra had a cold and wasn't allowed to go.  So it was just my dad, Zack, Nick, and I.

The next day, we slept in :)  After a lazy morning we headed over to Cozumel to go snorkeling.  Unfortunately, we got over there super late because of the ferry schedule, and so only got to do a small amount, but what we did see was amazing.  If I ever get to go back, I want to make sure to spend a FULL day at Cozumel snorkeling.  It is the second largest reef in the world, after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.  We had a blast, and even did a little bit of diving to get closer to the fish and the reef.

My dad got into so much trouble for touching stuff.  Then he was trying to tell us, "I didn't touch it!" .....  Caught red handed!

The sunset that day was absolutely gorgeous.  That day I actually saw the sun rise AND set on the same day.  It was pretty cool.

Wednesday we went to Explor.  I highly recommend it to anyone who goes to Cancun.  It was a little pricey, so you'll need to make sure you have room in your budget, but it was SOOOO much fun!  We drove ATV's, we swam through an underground cave, ate some BOMB food (included in the entrance fee), and zip-lined through a 2 mile zip-line course.  We also could have canoed through underground caves, but we didn't have time.  There were cameras through out the whole place that took your picture, and then at the end you could buy the pics, so we did.  There were some pretty cool ones.  We also brought my underwater camera and took pictures with that, so here is picture overload from our adventures that day.

We zip-lined off this huge tower.  It was awesome.  Seriously.

These are the ones from Xplor:

My dad is so silly.  He CLAIMS he was posing for the camera...

That was the second part of our adventures!  Stay tuned for the final leg of our trip - Mayan Ruins!
