9/30: 35 Weeks. This week I am considered full term and Ginger would more than likely be just fine if she came anytime after now. I am still feeling really good, and now I go see Dr. Dimmette every week.
I am not dilated, but my cervix is about 75% thinned out.
10/7: 36 Weeks: I started doing Non-stress tests (NST's) this week. It's a little annoying to have to go to the hospital and get hooked up to a monitor for an hour twice a week, but I actually look forward to my appointments. I get to lay there with my feet up and listen to Ginger's heartbeat for an hour. It is very soothing for me.
I am dilated to a tight 1 cm.
10/14: 37 Weeks. Getting super anxious for Ginger to make her appearance. Hospital bags are completely packed and waiting by the door and I have my mom and sister's work schedules in my phone just in case I go into labor.
I am dilated to a loose 1.5 cm.
10/21: 38 Weeks. Got some incredible news this week: I have an induction date! Dr. Dimmette is going to induce me at 39 weeks. I go into the hospital on Sunday 10/27 at 6 PM and will be on a pitocin drip overnight so I will deliver Ginger on 10/28. It is so surreal to know that one week from now I will finally be a mommy!
I am dilated to a tight 2 cm.
10/28: 39 Weeks. This is the very last belly bump picture I will take before Ginger is here. I technically took this the night before I was 39 weeks as we were getting ready to leave for the hospital to be induced, but I figure one day won't make a big difference, and if I waited, I wouldn't have a belly anymore!
11/4: What would have been 40 Weeks: Introducing Claire Patricia Grafton! Ginger did NOT turn out to be a ginger. Instead she is a beautiful brunette, SHOCKER! She was 6 lbs, 9 oz (teeny tiny little girl!) and 20 inches long. Born on 10/28 at 6:46 pm. We could not be more in love!
Stay tuned for Claire's birth story!
