San Fran

The weekend after Zack came home, I was able to get a couple of days off work to go with my Mom and Zack to take my dad back up to San Jose (he got a job up North and has been living up there by his lonesome for almost a year now.  My mom will be moving up there in the spring.)  We stopped in Gilroy to look around at some of the areas where they are thinking of buying a home.  I'm just sad that none of my friends still live up that way!  It was beautiful and I am looking forward to the trips Nick and I will be able to take.

Our first day in San Francisco (unbeknownst to me) was a day devoted to shopping... for Zack.  I don't think I ever want to shop for men's clothing ever again.  It was really cool to hang out in Union Square and look through all the stores that I can't afford to shop in though :)

Our second day, my dad stole Zack away to do man things, so my mom and I were on our own.  We decided to head over to Ghiradelli Square, and on the way there we saw a farmer's market and decided to stop, thus allowing my to take some pictures.  Oh boy am I glad we stopped.  It was incredible!  We bought so much good stuff, and we didn't even get through a quarter of all the vendors that were set up before the market shut down.  We were expecting to do a quick walk through and ended up spending a couple of hours.  I can't wait to go back the next time I'm up there!!

When we finally made it to Ghiradelli Square, we go ourselves some yummy ice cream sodas, and bought a few overpriced chocolates in the shop.  Then we headed back over to Union Square to do some REAL shopping.  Hahaha - who am I kidding?  We didn't actually buy anything, but it was nice to look at high heels and dresses instead of man things.

I am SOOOO glad I was able to get the time off to go spend a little extra time with my family, but I am SOOOOO sad Sierra couldn't go with us.  It was a blast and I can't wait to go back.  I really enjoy the city of San Francisco and want to explore it a bit more.  Any suggestions for next time?  Anybody know any good places to eat in China Town?
